ATO Cash Economy Letters Program

The Australian Tax Office (ATO) will be focussing on the cash economy over the next 12 months, sending out some 110,000 letters to small businesses that they suspect might be participating in it. The ATO will be targeting a range of industries, sending letters to those businesses that have reported figures that are outside of the small business benchmarks for their industry.
